Data Utilization

One key strategy for schools in Fulton County is Data Utilization. Data is used to inform all decisions involving delivery of services and support to schools in efforts to improve academic success for all learners.

Our teachers are the pivotal point in the process for unpacking student data and making the best instructional decisions for our students. This is accomplished through weekly grade level meetings, team collaboration, student/teacher data talks, data workshops and professional development.

Student Data Folders

Student data folders are a tool used to set goals, document progress and to help students take ownership and accountability for their own learning.  Data folders provide information that informs students where their performance starts, where they are at any given point in time in their performance, and a target for where they need to be.

Every student at Liberty Point has a data folder and is reviewed regularly by the student and classroom teacher.  Parents are welcomed to view student folders during parent/teacher conferences.

SuccessMaker

Successmaker is standards based comprehensive courseware that provides one-on-one lessons at the students’ level.  It is research based and used as a predictor to forecast performance on standardized test such as the CRCT.  As our students reach certain targets (Initial Placement Motion, 800 Level and 820 Level) we celebrate with popcorn and movie parties, certificates, medals and our ultimate Mega Party.

Parents!  Successmaker kits can be checked out from the Technology Specialist Ms. Pam Wolf-Cook to use at home.
